A greener future for Chanctonbury Sports & Leisure


Staying active in Storrington has just got greener thanks to the installation of state-of-the-art solar panels at the Chanctonbury Sports & Leisure centre.

The brand new Solar Voltaic System allows the centre to produce clean, renewable and sustainable energy and, in doing so, significantly lower its carbon footprint. It’s predicted the panels will produce approximately 49,200 KWh of electricity per annum – enough green energy to equal the centre’s usage.

OLDHAM COUNCIL AND OCL SIGN NEW LEISURE ESTATE CONTRACT

Oldham Council has signed a new ten-year deal to kick-start an exciting future for sports and leisure provision across the Borough.

 

Oldham Community Leisure (OCL) is now officially in charge of the 'Leisure Estate' of facilities until March 2023 - with an option to extend for a further five years.  OCL has run local sporting facilities since it was founded back in 2002.

New Oldham 10k launched by Oldham Community Leisure

Oldham Community Leisure is launching a 10k race in June this year, following on from the success of last year’s inaugural Mill Town to Moors Oldham Half Marathon.

 

The race will take place on Saturday 23 June, at 9.30am, starting on the High Street in Oldham town centre. The route will take the runners through the Shaw area of Oldham and back to the town centre.
